How to Insert GIFs in Google Slides Presentation

There are innumerable ways to hook your audience’s attention in a presentation, but one of the most exciting ways is by using eye-catching visuals. One such visual that never fails to intrigue viewers is GIFs. Using GIFs, you can convey your ideas quickly. It can also help you highlight important topics in your presentation and creatively explain them without using extra words.

Here are three ways by which you can add GIFs to your Google Slides presentations and make them stand apart.

Adding a GIF Using a URL

Step 1 – Search for the GIF that you want to add to your slide. Right-click on the GIF and select ‘Copy Image Address’ from the drop down menu.

Step 2 – Open your presentation on Google Slides. Click on ‘Insert’ and select Image > By URL.

Step 3 – Paste the URL link.

Step 4 – Click on ‘Insert Image.’

Adding a GIF from the Computer

Step 1 – Open Google Slides and click ‘Insert’ from the toolbar.

Step 2 – From the drop down menu, select Image > Upload from Computer.

Step 3 – Find the GIF on your system and click ‘Open.’

You can place the GIF, adjust and move it.

Adding a GIF from Google Drive

Step 1 – Open your presentation and go to the ‘Insert’ option on the toolbar.

Step 2 – Click on ‘Insert,’ choose Image > Drive/Photos to upload a GIF from the same.

Step 3 – Select the GIF that you want to insert, and click ‘Insert’ from the pop-up menu on the right side.

Step 4 – The GIF will appear. You can move and adjust it anywhere on the slide!
