Inspired by a children’s book - ‘The Dot’ by Peter H. Reynolds, on September 15th each year, International Dot Day takes place worldwide to celebrate creativity. The day aims to encourage people of all age groups to commemorate the power of individual expression and create and share their dot-themed work, such as drawings, paintings, etc. Educational institutions, local communities, and various groups organize events to narrate the story of Vashti, a young girl initially convinced of her inability to draw. When her teacher urges her to create a mark on the canvas, she confidently punctuates it with a dot, inspiring everyone to leave their mark on the world.
